BDA Equipment & Specialty Certification Class

At Bluegrass Damage Appraisal, we’re setting a new standard for professional development in the IA industry. Our Equipment & Specialty Claims Training Program is a 27-hour, hands-on and in-person course designed to equip adjusters and appraisers with real-world expertise across multiple claim types — including RV, Marine, Farm & Construction Equipment, Heavy Truck & Trailer, and Estimating disciplines.

Through detailed modules, case studies, structured estimating exercises, and field days, participants gain a comprehensive understanding of how to inspect, scope, estimate, and document complex claims with precision and consistency.

Upon completion, graduates earn the Bluegrass Damage Appraisal Equipment & Specialty designation — a recognition of advanced competency and professionalism in specialty and heavy equipment appraisal. Upon certification, BDA IAs may begin to handle Equipment & Specialty claims.

This program isn’t just training; it’s an investment in building adjusters and appraisers who reflect the Gold Standard in the IA space.

This course will be offered to BDA IAs only.

BDA Property Adjuster Certification Program

At Bluegrass Damage Appraisal, we believe every adjuster should represent the gold standard in professionalism, accuracy, and field performance. That’s why we’ve developed a comprehensive 4-Day Property Adjuster Training & Certification Program — built from real-world experience and tailored for today’s independent adjusters.

This intensive course covers every stage of the property claim process, from inspection fundamentals to full claim file assembly:

  • Roofs & Exteriors: Construction basics, storm damage identification, photo and diagramming standards.

  • Interior Inspection: Systematic room-by-room inspections, moisture mapping, and structural assessment.

  • Estimating & Safety: Hands-on estimating, code and compliance, and field safety best practices.

  • Field Day (Capstone): A live claim simulation where trainees perform a complete inspection, estimate, and coverage summary and visit the IBHS Research Center in Richburg, SC.

Graduates who successfully complete the program earn the designation:
Certified Property Field Adjuster – Level I, issued by Bluegrass Damage Appraisal.

This certification demonstrates technical competence, field readiness, and adherence to BDA’s high standards of claim handling — preparing adjusters to perform with consistency, accuracy, and professionalism on every file.

This course will be offered to BDA IAs only.
